If you're interested in booking me for any retouching work below is a breakdown of the different services that I offer. It covers everything from high-end image retouching required for Art prints, beauty and fashion retouching for printed media to online campaigns. Still life images from products to interiors and exteriors and of course e-commerce images from cut-outs, products and of course clothing on mannequins and models.
Art Prints
Transferring Art Prints to a digital format requires a lot of work to get the colour, mode, feel, depth, and quality to be conveyed to the digital format without altering the intended result by the Photographer or Artist, and then carried through to the final Art Prints taking into account that the final print will be a large format. The time required is surprisingly long, after the colour and mood has been created every pixel is checked but the end result is quite impressive and worth the patience and time.
High End Retouching
Retouching fashion and beauty photography requires a subtle process aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appeal of images, meeting very high standards while maintaining a natural, polished look. While some images require a more stylised end result they all still require a lot of work focusing on making the hair, make-up and perfect clothing. With a lot of focus on the location making sure the setting doesn’t distract from the main focus. And then there are those stylised images and complex compositions pulling in different elements to create a new image without compromising authenticity.
Still Life
Still life retouching involves enhancing and perfecting the subject such as food, decor, fashion accessories, or luxury products—while preserving realism and artistry. Removing all unwanted items from the images but also insuring the subject is clear and reflects actual item being represented.
e-commerce
E-commerce retouching focuses on creating clean, consistent, and visually appealing product images that meet platform standards and enhance online shopping experiences. The goal is to accurately represent the product while ensuring it looks polished and professional.
It is also important to have consistence and uniformity across the brief so multiple images appearing on the same page aren't jarring. It has also become common that the images be retouched to a very high standard giving more flexibly for their use.
